Shearwater Coffee Roasters’ Colombia Quinchia is a smooth full bodied coffee with fruity notes. It has a delicate cocoa finish which lingers on the tongue with a medium to mild acidity.
Colombia Quinchia is from APECAFEQ cooperative & Granja la Esperanza in Midwest region of Colombia near Risaralda. The APECAFE cooperative is a collective that supports efforts to improve roads and schools, promotes education about organic and sustainable coffee farming methods, and helps diversify incomes away from illegal cash crops.
Shearwater Organic Coffee seems to source most of their beans from smaller farms, and lesser know locations. They are a USDA certified organic coffee roaster, and do small-batch artisan roasting.

Tanzania Peaberry Coffee, CoffeeAM – Coffee Review
I just tried some Tanzania Peaberry that CoffeeAM sent to me. I found it very pleasing and smooth. African coffees tend to be a little winey in a good way, as long as it doesn’t go to far and become sour. Their light-medium roast preserved the rich flavors and muted the wineyness in a way that made it a very pleasant cup of coffee.
What they say about it
Mount Kilimanjaro, a dormant volcano in northern Tanzania, is the highest mountain in Africa at 19,330 feet. Kilimanjaro’s lower slopes provide fertile soil to grow Tanzania Peaberry Coffee, and the climate provides excellent conditions for coffee trees to thrive. Grown and harvested on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro near the Kenyan border, this gourmet African coffee displays many of the characteristics of Kenyan coffee, though much lighter in acidity.
Peaberry beans are small round coffee beans with a cleft in the middle; they have a richer flavor than their oval- shaped counterparts, often rendering a livelier cup with a full body and distinguished aroma. Peaberry coffee is rare; only 10% of all coffee develops with this characteristic, and as a result, peaberry beans must be hand sorted from the rest.
Experience a light-medium roasted coffee that is full of flavor!
Any Coffee lover who doesn’t have a Melitta Ready Set Joe Single Cup Coffee Brewer is missing out. As long as you have hot water you can have a fast delicious cup of coffee in minutes. I don’t always like to committ to a full pot of any one coffee and with this device I don’t have to. Considering you can get one of these for about the price of a Latte, it’s a an easy decision to have one in the cabinet.
I know a lot of coffee purest who swear by press pots, I love a good press pot too, but it’s not the right solution for every coffee. The Melitta Ready Set Joe Single Cup Coffee Brewer is the best of both worlds. You get the convenience of a single cup with taste profile of a coffee pot, also clean up is easier than both.
If you get a chance you should also try Melitta’s packaged coffees. They are extremely affordable and have a mild taste, suited to any coffee drinker. They also have some more of the popular flavored coffee selections.
Overall, the Melitta products are affordable and tailored to anyone from a coffee novice to a coffee expert.
