I can understand where you're coming from on that. And you are certainly right about it. You know, some times it is better to just stick with a Mr. Coffee. lol... When you go getting too many features, something is bound to not work. ;)

We had one of these for about a year. It was great and it was not so great. It brewed a really good cup of coffee, nice and hot. Then, the grinder became permanently lodged in the machine so I couldn't get it out to clean it. I also didn't like that between pots, the grinder had to be completely cleaned and dried (very important that it was dry) or the grinder wouldn't work properly. This was a pain, particularly when we had guests and needed another pot of coffee.
We've gone back to having a separate grinder.

I'm sorry that happened. I guess everything has a breaking point. Some sooner than others. If you're like me and make many pots a day, I guess it would be sooner than later. Bunn generally has longer lasting parts than Cuisinart. But ever so often it just goes without reason.

I was so happy to get a Grind and Brew two years ago for Christmas. I ground and brewed about once or twice a week, took it realy easy. After a year and a half, it quit grinding. So now it's just a Brew. Very disappointing.
