I found these coffee fun factson Bruce’s Blog at bloggersfuel.com I thought you may enjoy reading and expanding your brain’s coffee trivia knowledge.
1) In 1683, one pound of coffee in New York was worth qs much as 4 acres of land.
2) Turkish bridegrooms were once required to make a promise during their wedding ceremonies to always provide their new wives with coffee. If they failed to do so, it was grounds for divorce! (Ouch!)
3) How about some “Cowboy Coffee Legend has it that cowboys made their coffee by putting ground coffee into a clean sock and immersed it in cold water and then heated it over the campfire. When ready, they would pour the coffee into tin cups and drink it.
Wow! I’d opt out for the 4 acres in New York, I’d think.
