Starbucks DoubleShot Recipe (copycat type)

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

A nice copy-cat recipe idea for Starbucks DoubleShot. It is my recipe and I think it is pretty darn close. Try it for yourself.

2 ounces espresso
2 oz half-and-half (or if you’re brave and skinny, heavy cream)
2 oz 2% low-fat milk
1 t. extra fine sugar or 1 pkg. artificial sweetener.

Mix it up and pour over ice!

How Does One Flavor Their Coffee Beans?

I found a good article at Coffeenerds.com on how coffee flavorings are added to our favored coffees. I thought you may be interested to know how it is done. I agree with the author of this article though in terms of adding flavor to a perfectly roasted bean. If it is a quality bean, roasted properly, and brewed right, there is no reason to add flavoring before it makes it to the consumer. Add it afterwards if you’d like but why mess up a fantastic cup of coffee?

Here is the link to How Does One Flavor Their Coffee Beans? I hope you enjoy it. I know I did.

Some Interesting FACTS about COFFEE

coffee newsHere are some intesting facts I found that are associated with our first love, coffee. Thought you might enjoy reading them.

-41% of Americans drink coffee daily (smart people!)

-Approx. 11 Billion pounds of coffee are consumed every year. (1 Billion of that actually is consumed away from my own home ;) )

-Number of specialty coffee houses in 1989: 585 / 2003:17,400

-All coffee is grown within 2000 miles of the equator

-Germany surprisingly is the world’s second largest consumer of coffee in terms of volume at 16 pounds per person a year. With over 43% of drinkers putting sweetener in their brew compared to 23% here in the states. (16 pounds per person? I wish I could cut down to that. )

New Coffee Quote I Found HA!

Coffee Table Series

I’m planning a series on coffee tables. I’d like to find unique ‘coffee’ tables and include photos and origins. I think it will be interesting to see all the different types whether manufactured or home-made coffee tables.

Watch for additions or book mark the coffee table category if you are interested in seeing what I hope to be, an artistic collection.

If you would like to send along a coffee table photo of your own to be included, just use the contact form (find link at the top on on inner sidebar) and let me know. I’ll make arrangements for you to send over the image and I will link the image back to your site. :)
Please make sure the photos are your own (or someone you know) and not images taken from Google Images!

Just to let you know… in case something appears to be wrong. I am updating my theme. Layout is the same but I was so bored with the colors and such.
