I’ve been thinking of getting one of these and may still after the defects are fixed. How have you liked this coffeemaker (other than the recall!)?

The first three pots were great and it makes very tasty coffee but after that three pots, the thermos/pot started to leak when it pours and only stays hot for about an hour and a half. At first, I swear to you, the coffee was still steaming hot after 4 hours. I do still like it but since they are going to let me get a new model at 1/2 price, I am going to get some other version.

I have one of these bunn coffee makers. mine doesn’t leak, it won’t heat the water in the tank. I paid over $100.oo for this model and it didn’t last a year. thank god I kept my old model. it’s over 6 years old and works fine. I’ll have to look up the numbers on my meatl one and see if it’s still on the recall list.

I have model GRX-B. The date on the coffee maker is 9/15/09. The switch will not turn on therefore the burner does not work either. What shall I do

  7. Howard Southard on October 28th, 2011 7:37 pm

I have the identical coffee maker (GRX-B) as Jean Buckner with the identical problem: When switch is turned on there is no power to the maker (the water does not heat and the light does not come on when the switch is turned on to the warmer). How do I determine if it is the heating element or the switch gone bad?

Give Bunn customer service a call and see if they will replace your coffee maker. Since its been 2 years I’m not sure what they are going to say, but its worth a try:)

I have only had my Bunn for about 3 years, it’s a great coffee maker when it doesn’t leak all over the place. How do you find out if this model I have has been recalled? My $15 Mr coffee works almost as good.

I have a BTX B Bunn coffemaker. Love the pot but pours water all over the place when the coffee is making. The water comes from all different directions from the pot?

I have the coffee pot with the glass pot but the water will not heat anymore and this has a two year warranty on it. The coffee pot you can preset and it will come on by itself in the morning. I payed $110.00 for this and now it no longer works

  18. Karel Polley on January 8th, 2013 8:36 pm

    What do I do now.

  19. christy on January 9th, 2013 1:28 am

I would give the companies customer service a call and ask them what the next step is. Sorry you are experiencing this. Its so frustrating!!

  20. Marsha Beard on January 23rd, 2013 12:23 pm

I have had many BUNN coffee makers. The last 3 that have been purchased have all been defective. 1.) didnt heat 2.) leaked like there is no tomorrow. 3.) Sounds like a localmotive train when it heats up. The saddest part is that the 800 number for customer service has no answer. So much for backing your product. If your intension is not to service the people than loose the 800 number.
