I got a neat t-shirt to review from
| Going Postal T-Shirts |
This t-shirt is not too heavy yet not too thin either. (100% pre-shrunk cotton tee shirts) It is soft and doesn’t itch at all. I’ve found that often this is the case with new t-shirts. Since it is pre-shrunk, I suppose that took away any issues I’d have with scratchiness or stiffness.
The company did an awesome job on the decal placement. Smooth and without any wrinkles or bubbles. Just perfect.
The website has very unique t’s and personally, there are many, if not most, that I’ve never seen before. Nothing typical, but fresh and different.
There are your standard size t-shirts (which is what I got) but they also have the women’s fitted t’s plus children and toddler sizes! I think David has all the bases covered here. Nice job.
What a variety he has well. There are cat t’s, coffee t’s (my fave), stamp t’s … these are awesome, butterfly t’s, Christmas t’s…… and on and on… you must take a look for yourself. there are about 59 categories! There really is a lot to see on David’s site.
Interesting: Read about t-shirt history and the fun t-shirt faq’s included. Humorous!
Even though I got my shirt gratis, which would make the good service even more evident, shipping was VERY quick and communication is spot on and most friendly. I am impressed with the effort taken to get the tee I wanted and as quick as it arrived.
Go by and visit Going Postal T-Shirts. Explore and take your time looking around. I’m sure you will find something that you’ll just have to have.
Note: photo with t-shirt was taken with my son wearing it. I cut his head off simply because he said, Mom! don’t put my head in!…. he was having a very bad hair day plus I woke him up to take the photo. Poor little guy. ![]()
Egg Nog Latte Recipe :: copycat to Starbucks :: Delicious!
Egg Nog Latte Recipe :: copy cat to Starbucks Egg Nog Latte
Ingredients:
1/2 cup egg nog (Borden is very thick and good and Starbucks uses a local brand according to the area they are in)
1/4 cup whole milk or 2% milk. (recommend whole for frothing)
1 - 2 shots espresso or 1/4 c Espresso Roast coffee (ground and brewed strong)
a sprinkle of ground nutmeg
Instructions:
Combine cold egg nog with cold whole milk. Non-fat milk or soymilk can be substituted for the high-fat milk.
Steam the egg nog - milk mixture until the temperature reaches 145°F. or use stove-top and do NOT scorch. You just won’t have the foam unless you use some sort of mixer to create the foam. Hey, it works!
Egg nog heats and scalds quicker than milk, so watch your heat temperature closely.
Pull your espresso shots and place in mug or pour the 1/4 cup strong coffee in mug.
Fill the remaining room in mug with steamed egg nog mixture. Add extra eggnog foam to the top of the mug.
sprinkle with ground nutmeg.
The Seattle Times says: Starbucks recalls 73,000 coffee-makers
According to an article written on 10.17.06 on the site of The Seattle Times, Starbucks is recalling some 73,000 coffee makers because defective electrical wiring may cause them to overheat, smoke and melt their plastic shells.
It is a voluntary recall for Starbucks Barista Aroma 8-cup coffee brewer. Head on over to The Seattle Times and read the rest of the story and if you have one of these coffeemakers, beware!
Shock Coffee :: a shocking coffee review
Shock Coffee Website and Store
Holy Coffee Shock Batman! Have you tried this SHOCK COFFEE? It’s Hyper-Caffeinated Coffee & Drinks with Shock-A-Lots candies.
I went to the door and there stood the UPS man holding a plain brown sack colored box. I wondered what it could be. hmmm…
I brought it in and set it on my newly cleaned kitchen tile (rare instance) and got my box knife out. I zipped down one side and then the other. I slashed the center tape that secured the flaps shut. Bubble wrap!! yay! Oh wait, there is something else in there. COFFEE!!! Oh boy! My favorite thing in the world. It was my promo-sample box from Shock Coffee. Thanks guys
I wanted to brew a pot right away but had already consumed 2 pots and it was only 10:30 am. I was starting to feel a bit sick to my stomach. I’ll wait until this evening. So I did.
7:00 pm rolled around and I had finally worked off all my morning brew and I was ready for my after dinner pot of coffee. I opened a bag of Shock Coffee and wow! It had such a freshly ground aroma. I stood sniffing that for a bit then I put myself 6 scoops in my brew basket. I like my coffee a bit on the bold side.
I really enjoyed the coffee house scent as the black gold quickly ran through the brew cycle. I got my giant latte mug out and filled it to the brim. I sipped and ahhh… what a fabulous taste this has, I told my son who was sporting the new Shock Coffee ball cap that came in the box of goodies. He muttered, yeah, it smells good, mom.
Well, I finished that cup and poured another. I sat down to watch a DVD and suddenly realized my eyes felt like they were the size of coffee saucers. OMG! I jumped up and ran to look in the mirror and I found that I appeared to look normal. But no, something was wrong. I was totally alert. It was as if I had just started the day. I felt like doing something. To make a long story a bit shorter, I was up until 4:30 am and had a sparkling home to show for it. What a buzz!
Keep reading to the next page…. it’s my review on all the other do-dads that I got in my surprise box….

Created a new Coffee ‘Forums’ ‘of sorts’
I longed for community involvement. There was a time, as some of you who know me are aware, when I had a nice community with about 1200 members. It got the best of me and I shut it down.
Well…. I need to do that again. I need to feel the sense of community. I created a new forum, Coffee Break Forums, where I hope you will feel free to register and join in.
Admittedly (hmmm… is that spelled correctly?), there isn’t must going on. Only 6 members and those are long time friends from the previous forums, but then again, I haven’t tried to get anybody to join yet.
All the forums that I want to be included are not there yet. Only a few and of course, posts are few, but with your help, we can get beyond that issue.
It is not strictly coffee. I like a lot of things and intend to include forums for each.
Profiles are connected with Zoinks (see mine: zoints profile. All members can create a neat profile rather than the standard one you usually get with message boards.
I will be in the market for moderators in the future once the board starts to grow. Maybe YOU will be interested in that.
I am open to suggestions for the community and will listen to all. Just use the pm feature on the board to let me know what you’d like to see on there.
I guess that is all for now. I hope to see you there!
Enviga :: A product of Coca~Cola and Nestle
Coca~Cola has launched a joint venture with Nestle by creating a ‘green-tea’ infused soda designed to speed up your metabolism and suggest the benefit of weight-loss. The main ingredients of Enviga are green-tea and caffeine. By speeding up the metabolism, you naturally burn calories. I doubt it will be any significant loss but any boost in metabolism can result in certain weight-loss.
Nestle applied for an Enviga trademark in January. The trademark covers “nutritional and dietary supplements,” “energizing and energetic drinks,” “green tea” and “isotonic beverages.”
Enviga is a “caffeinated” “soda” and will target active-lifestyle consumers with it’s claim to burn calories. Of course, with the added benefit of having certain antioxidants through “green-tea” content.
I have not had the opportunity to sample the product, but I do have a friend who works for Coca~Cola in Atlanta, Georgia and he has. He reaction, an honest one, was reserved. He admits that the beverage is tasty but does have a “powerade” impression on the palette.
He’s only sampled the “berry” flavored version but mentioned that it was refreshing and did seem to give him a slight feeling of being “wide awake”. Naturally, he has not been drinking over a period of time in order to benefit from any claimed calorie burn. There should be three flavors. Berry, Green Tea, and to the best of my knowledge, Peach.
The diet drink uses thermogenesis to burn 50 to 100 calories just by drinking a 12 oz. serving. Suggested use is 3 servings a day. I’ve got to say that I highly doubt I would or even could drink 3 of these a day. Are there many of you that could? Die hards, I’m sure, would try if they really felt it were helping burn fat. Nothing works without exercise though. We all know that.
Does “Enviga” have promise? Who knows. Only time will tell and only those who are willing to drink it as suggested, will honestly be able to confess the products worth.

Pumpkin Spice Latte — Delicious Copycat to Starbucks
Pumpkin Spice Latte ( compare to Starbucks )
Note: if you are using the pumpkin spice syrup, you do not need the canned pumpkin
Ingredients:
1-2 shots espresso (1/4 C. espresso or 1/2 C. strong brewed coffee)
1 c. half and half
1 tb. canned pumpkin :: you may use either whole pumpkin or pie mix
1 tsp. Torani Pumpkin Spice SyrupÂ
Optional pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or cinnamon.
Directions:
(no espresso machine?)
To make a pumpkin latte in your home: In a small saucepan, stir pumpkin puree into half and half. Add the syrup. Heat on medium until steaming, stirring constantly. You do not want the milk to burn.
In a blender on high speed, use whip setting for 20 seconds until foaming. Pour the mixture into a tall glass and pour coffee over the top. Dust with ground pumpkin pie spice or nutmeg.
(with an espresso machine)
Pour syrup in medium mug and pull your shots. Steam the half and half. Add shots to syrup and then add the steamed milk. Dust with nutmeg. Yum yum!
