The link above is an Amazon Affiliate link. It helps support our site and usually ends up being the best buy for you. Feel free to visit it by clicking.

The Bonjour 1L Thermal Carafe has been a nice addition to my kitchen. Even though I strongly prefer a 2l unit, this one has come in handy more times that I can count. When it is just me at home, it is perfect, however, if you have more than one to coffee for, it tends to run you to death refilling it. On the other hand though, it is absolutely perfect to hold hot water for tea. That is mainly what I use it for and it is just perfect.

Coffee Gadget Review on: Sip Klip the ‘coffee lid sip hole plug’

New product alert!

Sip Klip the coffee cup lid sip hole coverThere are those places where you get a handy dandy lid hole cover such as a stopper that will bend back when you open it ( “McDonalds Coffee” ) or a floppy tab that goes in and out of the lid ( “7-11″ ) and makes a large mess if you are not extremely careful but then there is something new out there that makes the others pale in comparison. It’s called Sip Klip!

Michele Vogt, founder, inventor and principal partner of Sip Klip and former coffeehouse owner knew we all needed something to help us keep our coffee in our cups! I know I did. I wish I had a dollar for each spot I have had to wash out of my tops and jeans from those accidents I am so famous for having.

You can overdose on caffeine (espresso shots can kill) *winks*

Alright, as bad as I hate to write this, I found it interesting and wanted to post it. I really believe that our young people should watch their caffeine intake if not do away with it all together. And here is why:

Below is a link to the story about a coffee shop owner’s teen who overdosed on double espresso shots. Read it and think it over. I suppose it could kill. Of course, I would never sit and drink that many double espresso shots either.

Girl Overdoses on Espresso Coffee says BBC News.

Coffee Related Quick Links #2

Here is #2 in a series of ‘???’ quick link posts. Just places I’ve found that I really like and hope for you to enjoy as well.

1. Bloggle.com Coffee and Commentary

2. Espresso Journey The journey from instant coffee to pro barista of a young man in New York City. Interesting. One of the most detailed of a coffee review in photos I’ve seen.

3. Pug Java Um… coffee for people who love Pugs? ha! I like that.

4. Steaming Bean Coffee Company These people need to get on the stick and send me some coffee to review. That Midnight Espresso, Organic French Roast, and Dark Kenya AA sound devine! Nice site too. I’ve included this one for you because you can enter a monthly drawing for free coffee! Just follow the link but look around at what they got while you’re there. It is so yummy!

5. My Espresso Journey Interesting read. :)

Could Coffee CAUSE Osteoporosis? OMG, NO!

Well, I read it myself. I am hoping this is just one of those deals where later they come back and say, according to group studies, we found this to be bogus.

According to the Weekly Wellness Report by: Dr. Minshew, Coffee can cause you to excrete as much as 150 mg of calcium per hour after only a single cup. And if you already have poor bone health, this loss of calcium may make a bad situation even worse. Aw, darn it.

Bada Beans :: a review by coffeesage.com (for your coffee/tea)

Bada Beans It has taken me a very long time to write this review. It wasn’t for lack of time, but lack of a back-bone. I hate writing negative reviews. At least it is not going to be as negative as it would have been in the beginning. One must test and test again when they have something unpleasant to write about. It is a bad thing to write a review that reflects a product as less than favorable when everything possible has not been done to try and like it.

Coffee Review on: Copper Door Coffee Roasters

The coffee just keeps getting better. Just when you think you’ve had the best ever, another company comes along with something just as awesome or even better than that.

In a nutshell, I love Copper Door Coffee Roasters and their wonderful, fresh roasted coffee. But we can not do things in a nutshell, can we? I must write more than that.

copper door costa rica coffee bag imageFirst, I have to comment on their bags. It is like a plain brown sack you’d send a lunch in. I love it! Simple as that is, it makes for the most elegant of presentation to me, not to mention environmentally friendly. Kudos. Don’t ever change that.

Here’s a wee bit of info on them. The rest you can read for yourself on their beautifully designed website.

Keeping with Artisan tradition, beans are roasted a batch at a time (8 pounds max) and not mass produced like some other companies do. Tidbit: They roast using 100% wind purchased from the wind farm near Ft. Collins, CO. Isn’t that awesome? Read more on their website.
