I've had a pot to burst at the bottom but it was because it had been left on a burner that had been on for a long time. It made it brittle and caused it to shatter. But I have never had a defective one. That isn't to say there are not those out there that are defective. If I find any info, I will post it. Thanks for commenting! Greg,
