Here is a compiled list of “good” and “healthy” reasons to have your coffee and love it too. I do not know how accurate any of these are so I do not suggest that coffee cures anything but research has showed that the 10 things below are certainly a possibility.

Drinking 4 or more cups of coffee a day may help prevent gout
Coffee lowers your risk of cavities
Coffee use with lowered Parkinson’s risk

Heres another good reason to drink coffee - buy one of the Fair Trade coffee or that Mission Grounds Gourmet Coffee that gives all its profits to helping orphans.
You get a good cup of coffee and you help somebody else.

so….does coffee lower the risk of Parkinson’s disease or are people who drink a lot of coffee just used to shaking already?

  6. admin on July 7th, 2008 12:35 pm

lol Mike. I can see your point there. I am assuming it lowers the risk, of course. :) Good one.

Outstanding. The one and only unspoiled comment board on the internet. My faith in humanity is slightly renewed.

As for coffee, well… coffee is my career, and it is delicious. ‘Nough said.

    Hurrah!

well anything in moderation. And yes coffee is somewhat good for you, it has alot of nutrients, and is even used to boost nutrient levels in some types of soil (use your brain on that one) Another thing good in moderation: alcohol, marijuana, tobacco, even psychedelics.

    Tobacco?

Coffee’s great but don’t overdo it though; I did and it triggered panic disorder which can really screw ur life up. Now can only handle 1-2 cups a day. Or, if you have an anxiety disorder, cut out caffeine,

@Jeromie: Marijuana and psychedelics? Sounds familiar. How old are you? ;)

@rebs: Only if you already use it.

@Matt: You can always get too much of a good things no matter how good it is. I have a panic thing going on but mine was not caused by caffeine. It just “was”, that’s all.

I have been on coffee since I was 16 - stress shoots my heart rate into orbit now. However, the doctors have never said a thing about caffeine and panic attacks.
I have had a few and now that I have seen this posting I want to do some research to support it — or not.

  15. admin on July 10th, 2008 12:39 pm

That’s a good idea to research Mishka. You never know, caffeine could interfere with your heart rhythm and cause a certain type of panic attack. I not had either but do get a bit irritable from time to time. Let us know what you find out.
