I have been making my coffee at home for several months now, and have realized quite a bit of savings!
The one thing I haven't mastered yet is the non-dairy latte, which I used to buy regularly at Starbucks. My espresso machine works well, and makes a good dairy latte, but each time I've tried to make it with soy milk (or almond or hemp), I notice a distinct metallic taste in the drink. I've tried sweetened, unsweetened, flavored, unflavored, generic, brand name... It isn't the machine, since I notice the taste when simply adding non-dairy milk to my coffee at home.
Can anyone help with this?
