Melitta Ready Set Joe – Single Cup Coffee Brewer

Any Coffee lover who doesn’t have a Melitta Ready Set Joe Single Cup Coffee Brewer is missing out. As long as you have hot water you can have a fast delicious cup of coffee in minutes. I don’t always like to committ to a full pot of any one coffee and with this device I don’t have to. Considering you can get one of these for about the price of a Latte, it’s a an easy decision to have one in the cabinet.

I know a lot of coffee purest who swear by press pots, I love a good press pot too, but it’s not the right solution for every coffee. The Melitta Ready Set Joe Single Cup Coffee Brewer is the best of both worlds. You get the convenience of a single cup with taste profile of a coffee pot, also clean up is easier than both.

If you get a chance you should also try Melitta’s packaged coffees. They are extremely affordable and have a mild taste, suited to any coffee drinker. They also have some more of the popular flavored coffee selections.

Overall, the Melitta products are affordable and tailored to anyone from a coffee novice to a coffee expert.

I use something similar to this, but it’s a two-piece set. One piece holds the coffee (with a built-in filter, so you don’t need a paper filter), and the other piece sits on top of the grounds and lets the water drip down.

The problem with the Melita brewer and others like it is that the coffee creeps up the sides, and you have to keep scraping it off the sides so that it goes back into the hot water.

With the two-piece system that I have, the second piece keeps the coffee down, so I don’t have to do anything except pour in the hot water and just wait for it to go down. I think I picked it up at Target or something.

I’ve been using the Melitta single-cup plastic filter for years. This one looks almost the same, but not quite. Is it different?

I think it’s just an updated design, they’ve been making these things forever, or at least a long time

Very nice article. I agree that the Melitta is a very convenient way to have a single cup of coffee versus brewing an entire pot.

Has anyone tried the new Intazza pod brewer? I used it when I stayed at the cosmopolitan in Las Vegas. It brews really good coffee and I’m trying to order the red one for my kitchen. Please help

Thanks for sharing. I have not seen or heard of this before but it sounds nice. A single-cup maker is ideal because when I am just making it for myself I feel bad I make an entire pot and half of it goes to waste.

The GSI Outdoors Personal Java Press is a useful product I use when I’m camping or out on the boat. It’s nice and easy for personal use too.
