We have heard so many times the good that can come from drinking coffee. It seems that getting pure green coffee bean extract can be great for you too, especially to help you loose weight.
Dr. Oz has discussed the benefits of pure green coffee bean extract and has given a recommended dosage to receive the maximum benefit from taking it for weight loss.
With a team helping him, including Dr. Caroline Apovian and registered dietician Kristin Kirkpatrick, the Dr. Oz Green Coffee Bean Extract Project was intended to allow Dr. Oz to informally test the effects of the extract on 100 women between the ages of 35 and 49. 50 women were given a placebo three times a day before each meal, while the other 50 were given a 400 mg dose of green coffee bean extract three times a day before each meal. The findings showed that the women who took Green Coffee Bean extract tablets three times a day lost 2 pounds per week on average as compared to one pound of fat lost per week by the women who only took a placebo three times a day.
Dr. Oz has recommends getting supplements that contain at least 45% chlorogenic acid extract (sometimes listed as GCA) or Svetol. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not take the supplements.
According to a new study in the Journal Stroke, women who drink at least one cup of coffee a day reduce their risk of stroke by as much as 25%.
Susanna Larsson of the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm conducted the study. She followed more than 34,000 Swedish women aged 49 to 83 who were free of heart disease for 10 years. After the post-decade follow-up, there were 1,680 women who had had strokes. The study found that the women who drank at least one cup of coffee each day had a 22 to 25 percent lowered risk of stroke as compared to the women who drank less. The study also suggested that coffee can help prevent cognitive decline and can boost vision and heart health. It is also related to a reduced risk of liver cancer.

Coffee produces a protein which appears to regulate sex hormones in women, in turn, reducing their risk of developing diabetes, according to a study released by UCLA. The protein has been shown to protect against diabetes.
The study found women who drank four cups of coffee a day were less than half as likely to develop diabetes than those who did not drink any coffee. Decafinated coffee did not appear to produce the same effect on the risk on diabetes.
A study has shown that New York women are attracted to the smell of coffee, according to a report by NBC New York
The study was conducted by the Smell and Taste Treatment and Research Foundation and sponsored by Ax Men’s Grooming Products.
The study also noted that women around the US prefer different smells. In Philadelphia they like the smell of clean laundry, in Los Angeles the prefer lavender and the ladies of Dallas like campfire smoke.
Many of us feel sluggish in the morning, be it in a boardroom or in a classroom, we find ourselves tuning out, nodding off and generally not paying attention to what’s going on around us. There is a solution. Drinking tea and coffee with your breakfast will help to keep you alert, active, and healthy.
Coffee has also been found to help prevent Type 2 Diabetes. Tea has not been found to have the same effect. The Iowa Women’s Health Study showed that women who drink four or more cups of coffee a day are 20% less likely to develop diabetes than non-coffee drinkers.
Coffee also has an effect on Parkinson’s Disease. Coffee drinkers are 80% less chance of being diagnosed with the disease than non-drinkers. They also have a 25% less chance of developing colon cancer, and 80% less chance of developing cirrhosis of the liver and a 50% less chance of developing gallstones.

Women have fought to get rid of cellulite for years. Now it seems that there is a way to rid yourself of the unsightly stuff. Coffee!!!. That’s right, plain, caffeinated coffee.
Putting coffee on your skin seems to reduce cellulite, or at the very least, the appearance of it. Cosmetic companies have caught on to this and are now using coffee and/or caffiene in some of their anti-cellulite creams. Look for it on the label. Of course, you can also use coffee grounds to get the same effect, but it is much more messy than the creams, which can be expensive.
If you choose to use coffee grounds, its important to do so at least 3 times a week to acheive and maintain the desired results. To do the treatment with coffee grounds, apply warm coffee grounds all over your body and massage it in. Then you wrap yourself in plastic wrap for twenty minutes.
So how does this work?
The caffeine in coffee is the secret. Caffeine helps widen the blood vessel of the body and stimulates the fat cells, breaking them down. Warning though, if you drink huge amounts of coffee daily, your cellulite could look worse. It seems that caffeine when ingested promotes more cellulite formation. Topical application of caffeine does not have this effect.
The rule of thumb when it comes to cellulite? Slather the coffee on and keep it comming for cellulite free thighs.
According to The Economic Times on an article discussing Finnish research on 26,000 male smokers, drinking 2-4 cups of coffee or tea reduced the incident of any type of stroke by 21 percent. That is good news for males but I have read elsewhere that it has not much effect on women smokers.
This study was conducted over a period of 13 years. They studied the link between mens beverage consumption and occurrence of different types of stroke. Age and other factors were taken into account as well.
Because tea is known to be rich in antioxidants this will further enforce the relationship of drinking tea reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease.
