Espesso (not espresso) Coffee you can eat!

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Saw this on ABC7 Chicago and had to write some blurb about it.

I’ve seen it all now. A espresso you can eat with a spoon. This would have to be for a very serious coffee lover and well, I think that would be me.

Espesso is an Italian Espresso drink. Lavazza Cafes and world-famous chef, Ferran Adria, have created Espesso, an espresso created to enjoy and savor with a spoon. This came from the Italian word ’spesso’, meaning ‘thick’. The drink is thick and mousse-like in texture. It embodies the flavor and aroma of Lavazza’s renowned espresso. Being a solid makes it eatable.

Lavazza is a 111-year-old Italian coffee company. Joerg Oberschmied, vice president of operations for Lavazza says that since 2002, espesso has been a popular drink in Europe. Why are we always the last to know? :D

Go to the link provided above and read more about it. I don’t know about you but it sounds spectacular! Wish I had an image to display. You may also read a story about espesso on : United Press International
